2. What Services We Provide

We provide credit assistance services by helping you understand finance options available from our lender panel, and by facilitating applications with lenders where you choose to proceed. We do not provide credit directly.

3. Our Role as a Finance Broker

As a credit licensee under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth), Freedom Capital Finance acts as an intermediary between you and credit providers. We compare options from our lender panel and help facilitate applications where requested.

4. Responsible Lending Obligations

We are obligated under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 to act responsibly when providing credit assistance. This includes making reasonable enquiries about your financial situation, requirements and objectives, and ensuring that any product we assist you with is not unsuitable for your circumstances.

5. Fees and Commissions

Freedom Capital Finance may receive commission from lenders where a finance application is submitted and approved. Commission amounts vary depending on the lender and product. We will disclose the nature of any commission or fee relevant to your application before you proceed.

You will not be charged a fee for the initial eligibility check. Any fees applicable to your application will be disclosed prior to you providing consent to proceed.

6. Complaints Process

If you have a complaint about our services, please contact us in writing in the first instance. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within a reasonable timeframe. If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may contact our External Dispute Resolution (EDR) scheme.

7. External Dispute Resolution

Freedom Capital Finance is a member of an approved External Dispute Resolution scheme. Details of our EDR membership will be provided upon request or as required. You may contact the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) at www.afca.org.au or by calling 1800 931 678 if you are unable to resolve a dispute directly with us.

8. Privacy

We collect and handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details.
